“Sinners Wanted” Is a Must See

The Who’s Who of Atlanta attended the red carpet premiere of Sinners Wanted, a new film about an unconventional pastor who is ridiculed by his hypocritical congregation, after he rescues an unforgiven prostitute. The Atlanta premiere was held at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, hosted by Pastor Jamal Bryant, an ambassador for the film.

Tressa Azarel Smallwood, Ashley Rios, Kenneth Wayne, Tray Chaney from The Wire and Saints and Sinners, Pastor Jamal Bryant, Chanita Foster, Dennis L.A. White, among others walked the red carpet. We were in the building, and got a chance to speak to many of the stars of the film. Check it out below.

Sinners Wanted, starring Lamman Rucker, Clifton Powell, Traci Braxton, Ashley Rios and Kenneth Wayne, is written and directed by Joshua and Jimmy Jenkins, (The Jenkins Brother), with Tressa Azarel and Pastor John K. Jenkins as the executive producers.

Synopsis:

Sinners Wanted follows Leo Shepherd (Kenneth Wayne), a young vibrant minister from Macon, Georgia who relocates to Washington, D.C. for an opportunity to pastor Grace Community Church. On the first night of his installment, he meets a prostitute named Ginger Clementine (Ashley Rios), known as GiGi.

Ironically, Leo is immediately attracted to her as she reminds him of his mother. They begin to grow closer and their feelings develop. The church finds out about the relationship and immediately has concerns about how detrimental this woman is for the church’s image. Despite the congregation’s outcry and her troubled past, Leo continues to pursue GiGi, falling deeply in love, until he asks for her hand in marriage. Their holy union turns out to be catastrophic and reveals both Leo’s and GiGi’s pasts.
